I am twenty and from NJ. I drive a PT Cruiser that people love to make fun of.

The difference between learning a modern language and an ancient language is that in first year French you learn “Where is the bathroom?” and “How do I get to the train station?” and in first year Attic Greek or Latin you learn “I have judged you worthy of death” and “The tyrant had everyone in the city killed.”

my hairs gotten so long, and my new necklace is so beautiful xox

I had a wonderful conversation with this gentleman at the duty free shop in Toronto’s airport.
I approached him asking for his thoughts on a gift for a friend who was kind enough to pick me up from SFO.
When we were in front of the ice wine he told me that one should make sure one’s heart is settled before drinking. He had too many friends who approached drinking as a way to settle one’s soul and that never worked. He could tell I was intrigued by what he said, and that led to a longer discussion.
He told me I am a pure soul and people like me benefit from a gentle, aware approach to one’s heart and life. He then shared some of his life.
Every morning he looks in the mirror and tells his soul ‘you are looking beautiful today.’ He focuses on walking alongside himself in his life. A friend who is always there.
He is in awe of his wife, who he says is able to go deeper into their religious path. He sees her as a guidance to him. He told me that it was an arranged marriage and that over time his love and respect for her has continued to grow.
He talks to many people who come through the international terminal at Toronto. He shared one conversation he had with a catholic priest. That priest was so touched that he now visits him when he travels, and regularly calls him at home. He does this with several folks.
And yes, he gave me his phone number so I could talk to him or his wife.
The Devil is real. And he’s not a little red man with horns and a tail. He can be beautiful. ‘Cause he’s a fallen angel, and he used to be God’s favorite.
